01.22.17 – ALPENA HIGH SCHOOL RADIO CLUB W5AHS IS THIS YEAR’S CO-BONUS STATION
We are very excited about this item of news for the 2017 Arkansas QSO Party.  The newly formed radio club at Alpena High School has accepted our invitation to be this year’s Co-Bonus Station, along with ARKAN’s KX5AR.  John Jones-W5OX and his daughter Shelly Stone-KE5DX are the current advisors for the club.  The charter members of the club are Jonathan Stone-KF5COP and Nicholas Stone-K5NFS.
The club is, of course, in its infancy stages at this time, but John and Shelly report to ARQP that the interest of AHS students is very high and they expect to have new hams and new members to add to the membership roll very soon.  They will be on the air with their shiny new callsign W5AHS during the Party.  Congrats Alpena High School and make lots of bonus QSOs !!!

1.25.17 – ARKANSAS QSO PARTY HAS NEW N3FJP LOGGING SOFTWARE UPDATE
Scott-N3FJP, has revised the ARQP logging program, by making a small “tweak” for us.  BE SURE AND DOWNLOAD THE NEW ARQP VERSION 1.8 FROM HIS WEBSITE.   (CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD NEW ARQP V. 1.8 )  After the conclusion of this year’s ARQP and when you prepare to submit your entry, you will want to (of course) create a Cabrillo file to submit your log, especially if you are e-mailing it in.  When you fill-out the Cabrillo form, be sure to manually enter the callsigns of the bonus stations (this year will be W5AHS and KX5AR) in the form.  Thanks and enjoy ARQP 2017!

05.04.17 – TO ALL ARKANSAS AMATEURS

An Arkansas QSO Party Special Information Net will convene around 6:45 CT on 3987.5 kHz, immediately following the Arkansas Razorback Net.  If you have any questions or need additional information on any aspect of the 2017 ARQP, be sure and check-in with us and we will be happy to help you.
